It can be a very heart wrenching and discouraging time when you or a loved one is struggling with addiction. There is always hope and there is always some form of positive action that can be taken. You are not alone. In fact, there are millions of people that are going through the exact same trials and tribulations you are. It is so very important and necessary for a person addicted, or for the loved one of the addicted, to receive help.
For the person struggling with drug and alcohol addiction:
There is a way out. You do not need to sacrifice anymore of your health, safety, or relationships to drugs and alcohol. There is nothing you can do to change yesterday and tomorrow is not promised to you. Act today! The emptiness and numbness that you have endured must end. There is no need to struggle anymore. There is a solution to your problems. There are people that are waiting to help you, people that have been exactly where you are. You do not need to suffer with you disease any loner. Take action and obtain the help that you are entitled to today!
For the loved one's of the addicted:
The pain, heartache, and suffering that you have endured are unfair to say the least. The disease of addiction touch many people's lives other than that of the addicted person. Get help for the pain that you have felt due to this disease. Join a support group, seek counseling, or attend al-anon meetings. Do something for yourself and stop the enabling. Your loved one will never have the motivation or willingness to seek help if their disease still has options left. It is absolutely necessary that you are there for your loved one in a healthy and loving way, without contributing to their sickness. Accept nothing less than a healthy, positive lifestyle and deny the disease totally. You deserve it!
